Sigma Magic Help Version 18

Close

Overview

This button is used to save and close the currently active workbooks in Excel. You can find the Close button within the Setup section of the main menu, as shown below. Main Menu

Usage

Sigma Magic will try to determine which version of the Microsoft Excel file you are using and then save it accordingly. It is recommended that you save the workbook in a *.xlsx format.

Note that you can also close the workbook by clicking on the X button in the top right-hand corner of your Excel workbook. However, if you have more than one window open, this may cause a problem because if you have Sigma Magic dialog boxes that are open and you use this button to close your workbook, those dialog boxes are destroyed without notifying Sigma Magic software, and this may cause Excel to crash. Hence, it is always recommended that you use the Close button to close your workbook so that any open dialog boxes can be safely closed by Sigma Magic software.

Always use the Close button to save and close your workbook, and not click on the X button at the top right corner of your workbook!
